This little filly. Do they come any cuter?! I fell in love with this resin about a year ago when I saw her at one of the shows I was attending. Kimberly Bleeker had painted one to a stunning leopard bay Appaloosa and I fell in love. Several months later I was able to get my hands on an UP/UP (unpainted/unprepped) cast resin of her. By the way, for those of who you do not know, this is Victrix sculpted by Carol Williams. And she is SOLID resin cast. Which is honestly my favorite because I love feeling solid weight to my resins. Something about it just makes me happy vs the hallow cast or 3D Printed resins. As my followers also know, I have a special place (okay fine, addiction) to stock horses. So naturally, I fell in love. Sometime late last summer I spoke to Nikki Button about commissioning her. Nikki agreed and we decided on a gorgeous rose dapple grey. Nikki knocked my expectations out of the park!
She gave this filly the most personable and feminine face I have ever seen on a model. I personally love the way Nikki paints her eyes and hooves - she spends so much time on the details. She made this filly look too adorable. Glossy eyes and nostrils and dark shadowing grey accents give her face the perfect look. I love the dapples throughout her coat and the dark spots blending into her legs.
She is all around perfect! She has already won several workmanship and halter classes and I am excited to get her in the performance ring. Thank you Nikki for this beautiful little filly! Enjoy her first photo shoot below. Xoxo
