I want to start by saying, my Performance Showing skills, ribbons, and championships would not be even remotely possible without the talented ladies in this hobby who each have their skill set and allow me the amazing privaledge of owning and showing their work! There are SO many collaborations and shout outs I have to this post! But first.... here is the gorgeous Murdock: Cross Country Eventing!
Doesn't he just look stunning?! SO much went into this diorama. I found this horse a while back for sale on one of the Resin Sale Pages on Facebook. Looking for a performance jumper, he caught my attention. I soon found out that he was painted by the lovely Nikki Button (who you probably all know by now is one of my favorite!) so that sealed the deal and I had to have him. I also was attracted to Rayvin Maddock's sculpting skills with him.
I dreamed up a Cross Country scene for him right away. I contacted Boo Tack Saddles in the United Kingdom and began discussing a gorgeous Cross Country set for him. She was excited to get started and began custom building the set. It is made to fit Murdock like a sleeve and accented in my favorite color, pink!
From there, I contacted Anne Field of Field of Dolls Studio to custom make a female cross country doll in, of course, a matching pink! She accepted and was excited to start work on her. She is complete with everything - a medical arm band, helmet, watch, cross country vet, boots, spurs. You name it! She poses just perfectly!
Next came the jump. So I went right to Carrie Sloan Myer, the pro of all things props related! She hand made this set up, based off some photos and ideas that her and I shared back and forth.
The final small touches come from Desert Rose Backdrops with a gorgeous matte finish background scene, looking perfect for the entire scene! I added some footing and small props, set it all up in my photography light booth and here we are!! None of this could have happened without the amazing artists that all contributed their talented work! I am SO proud to show their work and collaborate with them. If you are on the look out for anything in this photo, please give these ladies a shout! Thank you to all involved! :)
