I have been dreaming up this mare for months now. Ever since I learned that her sculpting artist - Rayvin Maddock - was giving proceeds of her sales to Breast Cancer Research, I had a dream! I wanted this mare to represent a fight. Never giving up. Pressing on! And I was lucky enough to partner with artist Sherry Clayton to bring the dream to life.
She is fierce and faces all storms in life. Her eyes are strong and confident. The bottom of her hooves are pink. She has a breast cancer hope ribbon painted into her gorgeous tobiano markings. Her belly says “fighter”. Her brand is the breast cancer hope ribbon with Roman numerals 17, the year I began my personal journey.
I hope Biter and this dream and project inspires you. Specifically all you strong women who have faced breast cancer, are facing it now, have lost loved ones or have faced scares and worry and high risk. She fights and she doesn’t give up. And you can’t give up either! From Ravyn…. “When the storm rages around you, dance with it. Biter holds fear, anger, rage, frustration, grief and anxiety. The swirling emotions that come
everyday with cancer and don’t leave with remission. Every little thing becomes fear. They whispered to her, ‘you cannot handle the storm.’ She whispered back, ‘I am the storm.’”
